ROASTED GARLIC

Roasting garlic is about the easiest thing you can do to take your meals from pretty good to amazing. Add it over chicken, to soups, pasta, mashed potatoes ( you can find my recipe for roasted garlic mashed potatoes here! ), or spread over bread. Yes, sign me up. I am here for this.

It may take awhile to get to the perfectly caramelized goodness that is roasted garlic, but there’s only about 2 minutes of hands on time. I’ll walk you through it.

Cut off the top of your garlic bulb, drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, enclose in aluminum foil & roast at 400 degrees for 1 hour.

That’s all, folks! Talk about major payout for minimal work!

The garlic should be so tender that once it’s cooled you can squeeze it right out. Trust me, this little trick will renew your sense of hope in the world. Well, maybe it won’t do that.. but it will definitely give your dishes greater depths of flavor!

Bon Appetit!
